Meet The Coaches
Taylor Pomerenk
High School Coach
I am excited to be back this season and helping even if it’s in a smaller capacity than usual. Lacrosse has been something I’ve loved being apart of ever since I played for Bend United in High School (2011-2015) myself! And then went on to be assistant coach starting in 2016! I can’t wait to continue to pour into this amazing sport and the people who love it so much! While not coaching I’ve been busy planning a wedding and working as Regional manager of the Dutch Bros here in central Oregon, as well as enjoying the sunshine! I can’t wait to see what this season holds, GO UNITED!
Ralph Lewis
High School Head Coach
Ralph has been coaching with Bend United since 2020, and is a 2005 Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee at CSU, Chico. He has a lengthy resume as a player and coach, playing in college and in a men's league until 2016, as well as coaching from 1996 to the present. He started coaching with the men's team at CSU, Chico, continuing to work with both girls and boys from youth through high school.
Ralph strives to maintain a balance between competitiveness and sportsmanship, fostering life lessons through practices, game play, and off field activities, while instilling a lifelong love of the game.
Ron Hand
High School Coach
Happy grandpa to four now. Graduated from Syracuse University a long time ago but gleaned enough lacrosse by watching to take on coaching roles beginning with Parks and Rec and then High School boys' programs. Finally graduated to coaching the girls' game in 2016. Go United.
Louis Bennett
High School Coach
This is Louis' second year coaching Bend United, and while his experience in lacrosse is limited to learning the game from the sideline, Louis has a passion for coaching youth and high school sports, spending the past six years as the Bend High Varsity Boys Golf Coach and two years prior as the Summit Varsity Girls Golf Coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has thrived on motivating and encouraging kids to push themselves toward achieving their goals and being the best versions of themselves. With his competitive experience as a coach and a collegiate athlete, Louis hopes to bring expertise on the mental side of the game, and to play a supportive role in our fitness and conditioning programs.
